Maria Gustin Bergström winner of the Scandinavian Human Dignity Award 2019

The Scandinavian Human Dignity Award is presented annually by the Scandinavian Human Rights Lawyers & Committee, to a person or an organization which has made a special contribution to human rights, all of which derive from the inherent dignity of the human person and are essential for her free and full development.

The Scandinavian Human Rights Committee has decided to dedicate the Scandinavian Human Dignity Award 2019 to Maria Gustin Bergström for her solid efforts to compile and coordinate the conversion report.  Maria is competent, committed and has shown great legal pathos and is a worthy winner of this year’s human rights award

The Award Ceremony took place at Uppsala University on November 29, 2019 in conjuction with a seminar on the theme Christian converts in the Swedish asylum process.

Members of the Scandinavian Human Rights Committee are: Senior Legal Counsel, Ruth Nordström, President, Professor Reinhold Fahlbeck, Professor Kjell O Leijon, Elise Lindqvist, the “Angel in Malmskillnadsgatan” (the prostitution street of Stockholm), Rebecca Ahlstrand, Lawyer, and Marianne Lidskog, former diplomat and Désirée Lyckelind, Head of Administration and Financial Manager.
